Amber Lopez

Amber is the newest addition to our team and comes from a major event company within the Greater Atlanta area; having over seven years experience in the wedding event industry. Amber studied education at Georgia Perimeter College and soon transferred to Clayton State University and obtained a degree in business. Prior to having her two adorable boys, Amber was asked what she would do as a career even if she didn’t make any money and she quickly answered “I would plan weddings and do photography.” This is what paved the way for her successful career in the wedding and event industry, which aside from her children, is her biggest accomplishment thus far. Amber also owns and operates her own photography company and loves using the art form as not only a form of expression but as a way to capture the true essence of the best day of someone’s life. Being a photographer has aided Amber’s success due to her keen attention to detail and her hustle to make every event a success. She is most complimented in her ability to strive for perfection and her ability to eliminate the stress for her clients by being their guiding source through every step of their planning process. Her repeat clientele base and referrals speak tremendously of Amber’s passion and execution of her events. Amber hope is to make Atlanta Event Center at Opera the number one venue for weddings in midtown Atlanta.

Chef Jack Crawford has had a lifelong passion for cooking and cuisine. He made the professional plunge into the culinary field in 2000 by enrolling in the Art Institute of Atlanta. He was immediately drawn to the diverse and exciting world of catering and events. Chef Jack has always loved the unpredictability, variety, creativity, and wide-ranging events the catering industry has offered him.
Over the last ten years Chef Jack Crawford has been privileged to work with many of the finest catering companies in Atlanta, and to have been involved in many remarkable events. Some of those events have included the CATIE Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, preparing a dinner for the James Beard House, the High Wine Art Auction Dinner in Atlanta, the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios, a private dinner at the Fox Theater featuring Earth, Wind and Fir, and a private dinner in a Delta Hanger on the wing of an airplane. He has worked alongside many of the Atlanta's greatest catering chefs which helped him learn how to successfully produce anything from bite sized hors d'oeuvres to 500 person seated dinners.
"I feel there are few connections between people as intimate as food and cuisine that can define a culture as much as any geographic feature. I have had the chance to prepare foods across a wide array of cultures and flavors and my goal is to strive each day to improve my talent and skills. I have also grown to appreciate the culinary world outside of the kitchen, and have connections with local farmers and producers of organic foods. I have taught classes on nutritional, organic and seasonal cooking, promoted CSA groups and donated time and services to charitable organizations such as City of Refuge. I consider myself very fortunate to be in an industry where there is never an end to learning and experimenting and where I am excited to come to work each day," says head Executive Chef of Atlanta Event Center at Opera, Jack Crawford.
